Arkina specializes in the fusion of tropical and contemporary architecture design, striving to craft distinctive solutions that authentically reflect each client and a sense of place. Our focus revolves around accentuating the natural elegance of materials in their unadorned state, predominantly employing monochromatic palettes and embracing brutalist volumes. Additionally, we meticulously devise bespoke details to address the technical and construction challenges inherent in each project.
 

At the core of our practice is a dedicated focus on designing, developing, and constructing tailor made architectural projects, with a primary emphasis on private houses, hospitality and residential developments. Established in 2017 by architect Mónica Desangles, a Dominican alumna of the Universidad Iberoamericana with a dual degree in Fundamentals of Architecture from the European University of Madrid, and Joey Rapagliá, a Swiss-Italian graduate from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, our firm epitomizes a harmonious blend of diverse cultural influences and technical expertise.
